We are now in the process of nominating podcasts for the first Podcast
Peer Awards. Voting on nominees will finish on August 31, Midnight EST, when
up to five finalists will be selected for each category. Until then, here's
a list of the shows that have qualified. (Note:
these shows represent less than 10% of the shows that have been nominated.)
On the evening of September 1st this page will be replaced with a list
of the finalists.
How We Pick Them
Members of the Podcast Peer Awards nominate shows for various categories.
Shows can be nominated for multiple categories.
Any PPA member can nominate any show. Other members then vote for
or against a show. Each member has one vote per show/category.
A show's score is the number of "yes" votes minus the number of "no"
votes. A show must have a score of five or more to qualify as a finalist.
On August 31, 2006, the nominations will be closed. The five top
scoring qualifiers in each category will be voted on during the month
of September.
On October 1, we'll announce the winners!
Please note that appearing on this page is no guarantee that a show
will make it to the finals, as scores can go down as well as up.
